Lol this ain't a meme, it's the US Healthcare system.

I know people who risked their lives driving themselves or waiting on someone to drive them simply due to the cost.

if you meet someone who works in health insurance it is your moral duty to find a way to kill them

If you get first aid training, do they bring it up? What if they're unconscious, do people get anxiety about calling the ambo?

When my job had first aid training, I asked a similar question, and they said that as long as we were on company property we had to call 9/11 even if the person begs you not to and even if you're willing to drive the person to the hospital yourself.

For liability reasons, obviously the company isn't going to help you pay your medical bills or anything. Best case scenario, your teammates mass spam a donation email and you might get a couple hundred bucks for a several thousand dollar ambulance drive.

I think it's actually a legal requirement here if you have a first aid ticket and its safe to do so to call an ambulance after doing a check. But also I think the ambo is free in those cases too (you have to pay for the ambulance if its considered frivolous, like using it as a taxi to get to work next to a hospital)

that seems pretty reasonable
