I think they're still in the prototype stage. The displays probability won't be mass produced or sold until they can improve the durability and lower production costs.

So instead of keeping a phone roughly the size of a pocket in your pocket, they expect us to want to put "bricks" in our pockets that unfold into phones.

Phones kept getting smaller and smaller until smartphones and then things went toward getting bigger again.

My current Pixel 6 pro is still thinner (though wider) than many of the first cellphones I used.

I'm not personally interested in foldables, though. I work outside in the literal dirt a lot and that dust gets everywhere and can gum things up.
