Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

If they're anything like the idiots in Germany they probably dream of a collapse of society and a following civil war that they get out on top of.

[–] Angry_Autist@lemmy.world 20 points 3 months ago

This is exactly it, still have a lot of family in cult45 and it's crazy how many of the boomer generation WANT a civil war because they imagine it will improve their standing.

If it does happen, it's probably going to go the way the last one did.

They're more likely to have preparations in place for some sort of total societal collapse, and they dream of the day when "Society and laws" are replaced by "Might makes right" mad max style anarchy.

[–] scarabine@lemmynsfw.com 10 points 3 months ago

Yeah but those 50 gallon vats of macaroni and cheese aren’t going to work out the way they think they will.

They’ll have to go on the move after a collapse, they won’t be able to bring their shelters or their decades long mayo supply.

I mean collapse has always been going on all around us, but they ignore refugees completely.

[–] Lemjukes@lemm.ee 2 points 3 months ago

Pretty sure this is pretty much it here too.

[–] chronicledmonocle@lemmy.world 45 points 3 months ago (3 children)

Because they're domestic terrorists. If you had someone from Russia, the Middle East, etc. they'd be calling these people terrorists. But since they're white they're "white supremacists" or "far-right extremists".

I know terrorist is thrown around too often, but in this case call them what they are.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 3 months ago

They called themselves domestic terrorists at CPAC on a giant banner.

[–] BradleyUffner@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago

Don't forget "good people"!

[–] MerchantsOfMisery@lemmy.ml 4 points 3 months ago

One man's terrorist is a other man's freedo-- just kidding.

[–] Sanctus@lemmy.world 33 points 3 months ago

Because they pretty much rely on people being chill and not fucking them up, and we rely heavily on our power grids for daily life.

[–] barsquid@lemmy.world 27 points 3 months ago

Is it because their policies are deeply unpopular so they turn to terrorism? Just some typical abuser shit on a bigger scale. "If I cannot have what I want I will destroy it."

[–] ruk_n_rul@monyet.cc 22 points 3 months ago

Because they only bring brownouts and blackouts, never whiteouts. 😂

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 3 months ago (1 children)

They're trying to ensure a societal collapse because they believe a race-war will follow.

[–] bustAsh@lemmy.world 7 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah but a white person is easier to see in the dark than a black person.

[–] ego_death@lemmy.ml 7 points 3 months ago

Yea. Do they forget that we're allowed to arm ourselves, too? Lol, it's silly that these people really want to pick a fight with pacifists. At least speaking for myself. I would rather not cause harm to others because I know I'll get results. I just want to live in peace with my family.

Yeah, it works

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 4 points 3 months ago

The same reason they attack anything: they're morons.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

Meanwhile, in Texas, white supremacists own the energy grids.

They've succeeded at least once. Was out of power for days while they fixed those substations.

[–] Snapz@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Why they HAVE BEEN, like for a while....
