You joke, but I just automatically think of retro Minecraft as before the nether was added
I'm only half joking. People are way too quick to label games as retro. Minecraft 1.0 was released in 2011. Retro is generally recognized as being the period 20-30 years ago.
I've only played like 5 minutes of a version other than an alpha version. Has much changed since the alpha?
they fixed that bug where you could flood a world by placing a water block at the skybox, but nah not much else.
They added in this monster that follows you around in the air and constantly spawns. Extremely annoying.
You can fly through the air very fast now, making all other forms of transportation (rails, horses, boats, etc) completely pointless.
There's other forms of transportation than w?!
Back in my day we didn't have pistons and we liked it
I remember being poor and being happy with Minecraft Classic provided on the web on Mojang's website.
wait you are telling me there are more Minecraft versions after 1.8?
So Beta 1.6.4 was when?
I never understood Minecraft versions. There are like 4 different editions of the same version number
Minecraft: making Millenials and Gen Z feel old since 2017.
I remember playing minecraft classic in a java applet from a post on jayisgames.com, later I saw one of my friends playing it and I was angry that they took away the ability to just instantly click and place/remove blocks. The day that they re-added creative mode was the best.
