You can also go in your lemmy profile and check that you want to hide all NSFW posts.
I do have the blur/hide options checked. But perhaps some posts are bypassing the hide function? I see lots of blurred porn posts still, and of course soft core is wide open
Here have some screenshots:
Wdym by soft core? I’ve never seen untagged nudity
I mean non-nude porn. For example a woman in a bikini with legs spread. No blurring occurs here, probably because people don’t mark it nsfw because it isn’t explicit nudity
Which is stupid. It stands for Not Safe For Work. That doesn’t just mean nudity, and I’m sure most employers wouldn’t want you looking at bikini-clad women whilst on the clock.
Edit: There were also plenty of subreddits that were completely text-based and still marked all posts NSFW. r/sex for example.
I would just filter to your subscribed content and not join instances with content like that. You’re probably never going to escape bikini-clad women if you’re filtering by all communities.
That’s the goal, yeah. Just using ‘all’ a lot right now to find active communities to subscribe to.
There’s a community called trendingcommunities that might be helpful if you’re looking for active communities
Edit: !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl
I’ll check it out, thanks
If you are on android you can also use connect for lemmy, where you can block entire instances. Since most porn I have see has been only on one this should make it a lot easier for you.
When I was on .ml there wasn’t really any porn at all. When I moved to .one it was like a golden shower of porn. Think I’ve blocked like 30 subs so far.
Iirc you need to make the change via the web interface rather than Memmy currently.
