Religious leaders, in this case Muslim leaders, need to show some true strength and tell their followers that these acts are insignificant

The official leaders love milking these things for clout, but the community leaders and general community need to learn to ignore this and move on

Nothing is gained by reacting

As for being allowed to do it? Sure you should. But anything done to provoke is going to result in some people responding

If you walked around telling people they were ugly just to piss them off, wouldn't you expect a punch or two?

Well, in some country people are being lynched for pointing out the "ugly" side of a particular religion. The last time I heard, the country which tabled this motion is not so great with minorities' human rights. This resolution will only strengthen their justification that mocking any belief that causes hurt feelings is offensive that should be responded with violence.
