Based on the sentiment I see online, my hot take is that Deep Rock Galactic is way over-hyped and is actually pretty shallow. It's a fine turn your brain off game, but I don't think it's as great as people make it out to be.
For some reason I can't do anything but get lost/lose my party/fail to understand the map in that game.
lol tbh one of the only part I did like was the map, because of what you're saying. It's procedurally generated, but does require coordination on abilities / movement.
Don't get me wrong, I love the map generation, it just seems like whenever I find a shiny thing over in the corner, everyone else progresses to the quest, or did they just finish the quest, did they go forwards or backwards, why don't they need to throw their lights as often as I do, oh now we need to get to the extraction point, which way was that? And now I'm down and feeling like a burden again.
