This article got me to reinstall it and get mods! I have never tried it with mods

You're in for a good time! I definitely recommend grabbing the Calamity mod.

I grabbed Calamity, Thorium, and Terraria Overhaul for the major "game changing" mods, and a few other QoL mods

The Calamity wiki is really helpful for finding out how to progress in the mod. It has a step by step guide to reach you the order of things
