Microsoft have announced that the Xbox 360 store will close on July 29th 2024.

After this date it will no longer be possible to buy digital games or DLC from the Xbox 360 console.

All previously purchased games and DLC will remain playable and downloadable on the Xbox 360.

All Xbox 360 games and DLC that are purchasable via the store on Xbox Series S and Series X will continue to be available after the Xbox 360 has closed.

The store closure will not affect Xbox Live and games that are still supported by their publishers will continue to be playable online.

The Microsoft Movies & TV app will also cease to function on the Xbox 360 from July 29th 2024.

I mean, they are saying you will still be able to download your games after it closes, so...
Also, physical copies were very much a thing on the 360.

My 360 severely scratched the disc of one of my favourite games.
