Hi, for at least 7 days, posts created on Mastodon on the wetdry.world server that mention the communities @splatoon@lemmy.world and @animal_crossing@lemmy.world have not been forwarding correctly.

The server does not restrict access to lemmy.world at all, mastodon.world is marked as limited but that doesn't apply to Lemmy.

I'm posting from the @splatoon@wetdry.world and @crossing@wetdry.world accounts and they always have the handle for the respective Lemmy community at the bottom of our posts.

Thanks in advance for the support!

Hi,

there seems to be an issue with the mastodon instance requiring AUTHORIZED_FETCH.

Lemmy 0.19.3 does currently not have a working implementation of authorized fetch, this should get fixed in 0.19.4 when that is released.

For now, the only workaround is to disable secure mode on mastodon.

Are there any updates on this? Pretty frustrating that after FOUR months that posts still aren't mirroring over here and it's causing communities to appear less active.

0.19.4 and 0.19.5 released in June https://join-lemmy.org/news/2024-06-19_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.5_-_A_Few_Bugfixes

Have you tried posting to Lemmy instances with the latest version like lemm.ee or Lemmy.zip? If it works, you can consider migrating those communities from LW

I don't manage the community anyways, it looks like 0.19.6 I'd have to wait for unless I've missed something?

I just had a look, the two mods on the two communities are inactive since 1 year and 4 months.

You could step in and ask the other members if they would be okay to move to a more updated instance like Lemmy.zip

I seem to have mentioned a user, not the community lol (I'm not a regular Lemmy user, messaging through the Sync app).

Not sure about the Animal Crossing one, they don't particularly look active but the person who runs the Splatoon one certainly is active I'm fairly sure (I assume they appear inactive since there's been much less posts on the community since we've been unable to mirror from Mastodon)

Last post 4 months ago, the other mod is a bot owned by the first user
