Yinsh is a great abstract board game I designed and printed my own copy and plan on printing a few more for friends and family.

My buddy from work makes most of his living teaching crafts workshops around San Diego. My partner and I attended a class recently and I made these! I usually only wear one at a time but I still get a lot of people asking me where I got them, and it’s such a pleasure to say I made them myself :)

(By the way, if you are interested in one of Rob’s workshops his business is called Toshwerks, and they are usually free or have a very nominal signup fee. Check him out on facebook or instagram!)

Check out c/faceting where I'm doing a set of step-by-step posts on how I cut gemstones.

The goal was to create a website that anyone can use to make a dedicated dashboard of satellites. If you want to monitor some specific LEO objects, here's how you do it!

https://mysatellites.net

I made this project myself over the past few months. It's based on my own open-source game engine (which I do not recommend anyone seriously use). I deployed this thing to AWS using cdk and the resources it includes are s3/route53/cloudfront.

Ingredients:

  • 2.3 kg koolaid
  • 2.0 g magnesium citrate (optional?)
  • wine yeast
  • yeast nutrient
  • enough water until the specific gravity reaches 1.090

This fermented fairly slowly but eventually fermented completely dry. It was fairly drinkable, basically tasted like a cheap dry red wine.

This hooch gave me the worst hangovers.
