Is that a reference to that tweeter thread about it?

I think It is fair that the members of a family, that are a community living together or not, all share in the burdens of life so it is easier for everyone. But if the parents are like forcing you to pay rent, then I would just live somewhere else.

Put in another way. It is fine if you have an adult children to say "hey, help out anyway you can so it is easier to everyone" and if they cannot figure out how to do that or they are like stuck and not progressing in life then instead of an ultimatum of "pay rent" better is a "I think you need the experience of living on your own". Again I am all for money staying in the family and much prefer that or even better they saving money to buy a place than paying rent to some shitty landlord. But anyway.

I don't think they assume she could have some say, I think it is just malice, a bad faith argument on their part. They know very well and also know that their base you eat it up because they already hate the other side, they just need something that resembles a reason.

That is just next word prediction with extra steps.

But IIRC that is never implied in the books and it is shown a couple of times that they know very little about technology and being very surprised by stuff like television. Which is very weird given that a non insignificant part of the wizards are from muggle families and lives among muggles.

Whilst I loved the books, as I read I always had this question in my mind about what if the wizards approached magic with a more scientific method and if they integrated with the scientific advancements of the human world.

It is sad that so much of technological advancement is not freeing people from labor has the opposite effect, making people fight to pay rent and necessities everyday and never having free time to live. There is so much to like in these new Ai technologies but they being wielded by capitalists to extract a little more money. I highly doubt that visual arts is a big expensive in movies and films since usually half the budget is marketing and another big chuck to secure big stars to the project.

In any case everyone already lost and the Internet is a little bit worst. Reading about this class actions I think no good will come out of it, or the draconian copyright laws will be even worst and small artists will already have lost to the prior models using their content or a "fair use" exception will be made but only for big companies AI and not help small artists and content creators that battle with DMCA abuse taking down fair use vídeos from YouTube and content from over the net anyway.

This question reminded me of 27b/6, a website with a collections of essays and email exchanges from the author that are like humourous, satirical and based on his life. I had a lot of fun reading them years ago and I remember that it was dormant for a while but coming back it seems to have new material.

I believe the reason for that high rating is a form of selection bias maybe? Like if you go to IMDb you will see that live performances have a very high rating and I think is that you only gonna watch and rate if you are already fan of the band. In this case normal people are not gonna buy and read this book, only people who already agree with this nonsense.

Probably because it is worst than any dedicated IM service like whatsapp, telegram, etc
