President Joe Biden is honoring Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a state visit this week. Sanders sent a letter to Amazon CEO Andy Jassy on Tuesday accusing the e-commerce giant of “egregious health and safety violations.” Amazon spokesperson Steve Kelly says the company has received Sanders’ letter and is in the early stages of reviewing it. He also said Amazon has reduced injuries across its U.S. operations since 2019 and has invested more than $1 billion into safety initiatives in recent years.
