As someone who still semi-frequents reddit, it's mostly bots, more and more of which are clearly using some form of ChatGPT or another LLM. It's actually kinda absurd, I've seen many a comment chains where it's just different bots replying to each other, both pretending to be real people.
Honestly it's probably mostly immigrants on a work visa and people who haven't found another job and can't afford to quit without something lined up. Sure, some of them are still there because they're Elon stans, but I don't think even they would last long without extenuating circumstances.
The DA and Principal are likely related, same last name. I'd bet this isn't the only incident between these two, with the principal setting up the targets and the DA knocking them down.
They gonna call Bernard "I got into politics because my extended family literally died in the holocaust" Sanders antisemitic now?
And even then, all of those websites still technically exist, in some form at least. They died, but they're not dead.
A lot of people seemed to expect reddits crash and burn to eventually shutter the service entirely, but even if every single major content creator left the bots would keep things running semi-smoothly for the less engaged users for probably years to come.
No, the NSFL tag is more important imo. I don't mind seeing tits randomly, I do not wanna see gore ever, period.
Unironically: oh shit, for real? Like, actual MS.Paint, not that Paint 3D shit?
I mean, their letter wasn't written after he was accused though, it was written after he was convicted of it. They weren't merely expressing shock or disbelief, they were trying to provide a character witness to try to reduce his sentence on his RAPE CONVICTION.
I'm so fucking sick of all these billionaires "pledging" their fortunes. "I promise to donate all my wealth when I die" then fucking do it you cowards, die already.
It was powerful but non-specific. That's an anxiety everyone can have, so while the intended target just immediately got destroyed, everyone else has to make a save to avoid becoming affected themselves.
Can we please stop with all the posts about reddit? Jesus christ you guys it's a website, not your crazy ex. Lemmy is never going to surpass reddit in popularity when the only thing on the frontpage besides beans is "reddit this, reddit that".
The story takes place in Britain and the vast majority of the characters barely, if at all, know what Football(aka Soccer) is. Mr. Weasley the muggle "expert" doesn't know what a rubber duck is for. They're not gonna know shit about some American muggle sport.
