The most interesting insight from this article, imho, is that abortion rights in Florida are on the ballot in 2024, abortion rights have passed in every referendum on the topic since the recent Supreme Court fuckery, and that women coming to the polls to vote for their reproductive rights might skew the numbers more in favour of Democrats, independent of polling.

So Democrat victories in Florida (including a senator seat) are looking like a real possibility.

Precisely!

Florida also has recreational marijuana on the ballot which also has the potential to increase Democratic turnout. Personally I think Florida is due for a Blue wave.

Florida going blue seems absolutely wild in light of recent political developments re desabtis etc etc

But Florida has traditionally had low voter turnout; it’s generally been the old white men and their cohort voting for crazy pseudo conservative rhetoric.

This time, all the women might vote on an issue instead of not voting or going along with whatever the belligerent men say.

Florida also has the Latino "ooga booga Democratic socialism!" mentality that drives them to vote for the strong-man who scares them to vote for him because they love a dictatorship that says it isn't a dictatorship.

Boost the fuck out of this signal. We need energy for the campaign. Thank you, Chris!

For y'all who want to make sure we don't end up in a dictatorship, the most effective way to get people to vote is for their friends to talk to them! So organize! Tell your friends in swing states to vote, but more importantly tell your friends in any state to get their friends to vote too!

If a handful of people that you talk to start organizing themselves, we can see an exponentially growing voter motivation effort! So do it!

You really just have to ask: what is Trump doing for you?

And unless you're a billionaire or a racist cuck, Mr. Orange isn't doing anything.

He only pardons criminals who are willing to suck up to him.

You'd hope that women can see that having pussy-grabber Trump in power is a bad idea. Whether Biden leads it, Harris, Ocasio-Cortez, Sanders, whoever will be a better alternative than any Republican. Do people really think that getting shot in the ear or fumbling for words makes for a good or bad policy platform? This is an election to determine the fate of the country, and it's being covered like this is the tryouts for next year's circus performers.

If every eligible woman-identifying voter went to the polls to vote Democrat, there would be no question as to whether America validates a blatantly misogynist platform. There'd be none of this, "Does my vote mean anything?" Get out the vote.

Doesn’t matter. Still need more pressure to keep project 2025 from never seeing the light of day.

Doesn’t matter.

It matters that Trump does NOT get elected.

Still need more pressure to keep project 2025 from never seeing the light of day.

Yes, of course.

The polling in the leadup doesn't matter. We have to bring all our energy whether he's ahead or behind.

[-] tacosanonymous@lemm.ee 12 points 2 months ago

I hope this is true.
