I stopped having issues when I switched instances, so that sounds more like it’s just lemmy.world groaning under the pressure of all the recent sign ups and activity more than a Memmy problem.
Thank you. Sorry, but when you say switching instances, do you mean switching accounts between federated instances?

I’m replying to you (this is gkd) from another account just because I can’t use my main account on Lemmy.ml. It’s definitely a server issue.
I’m going to work this week on far superior erro handling and stuff so you know what is happeninf instead of just getting infinite spinners. But yea, it’s definitely instance related.
It's probably because you're on lemmy.world and they're getting hammered under the new load from all the new users. I have a second account there that I signed up when my instance was going down constantly. They've since upgraded and everything loads fine but when I go back to lemmy.world I get constant errors when voting, submitting, or even just loading content.
If you're not too attached to your account yet, try signing up a new account on a new instance, or just wait and I'm sure they'll get it all sorted!
I did try another login and it worked! I am not attached at all. I usually only surf All and rarely comment on things anymore.
I created a new username on lemm.ee yesterday because lemmy.world was having issues. Took me about an hour to set up all of my subscriptions again.
But there are a ton of open instances for people to join, if new people would spread the load it’d make for a better experience for everybody.
