… except it’s not.
$6 * 1.40 = $8.40
So these monsters are screwing us on the price of eggs and the math on the price of eggs!
Uh...I don't think that's right. 40% of 6 is 2.4, so it'd be $8.40/dozen
Granted, I agree that $10 a dozen seems very possible at this point
I'm regularly seeing $12+
For me it's more in the 6-10 range, the cheapest store brand are 5 something. They're saying wholesale is averaging $8 at this point
I remember buying a pack of 18 for $0.30 (pre-covid) and now the same pack cost $9-$10
Can you buy egg futures? Because that's one heck of an APR!
There going to hit a dollar an egg some places in Seattle at this rate
$0.75 at the Fred Meyers already, it's already getting ridiculous.
Now the minimum wage will be measured in eggs
Guys, I think I figured it out, the Republicans expected the variables that stores the prices to roll over once they got beyond the max allowed value and reset back to minimum.
The devs seems to have patched that exploit however...
In other news, you can have hens in your back yard!
Look at this rich guy here that can afford a yard.
I switched everyone to oatmeal breakfasts and leftovers in flour tortilla. Haven't had complaints. I also have done mild( half a jalapeno for flavor) chilaquiles in a torta, or sub sandwich bread, for a savory breakfast.
I use avocado for creamyness and use whatever protein leftovers I have.
We need to switch to farming non-avian eggs.
Mammals ain't gonna stop eating dinosaur ovum any time soon.
I can’t afford that.
tbh at this rate, eggs are going to be more expensive than the substitutions
