Christopher Columbus (Squirrels & Onions remix) doesn't technically have lyrics, but I always sing the title words along with the beat, at least in my head. Kinda of like how a lot of EDM just turns into Boots and Cats in my head.

The Star Trek Theme was originally composed with lyrics.

They redid the Ducktales NES moon level song and added lyrics and it wasn't half bad.

Tangentially related: Barber also wrote his Adagio for Strings as an Agnus Dei. It's great.

I was also thinking I'd love to hear some adagios being sung.

Neil Diamond, of all people, has a version, which you might or might not like.

This is quite literally one of the reasons I started making music. Too many instrumentals without vocals.

I, too, would like to hear eldrich silent singing.

[-] Death_Equity@lemmy.world 2 points 13 hours ago

You can only hear the lyrics in your writhing mind.

The Bark and Below It by the Olivia Tremor Control.

Good luck to ya.

Non-joke answer, I'd be curious to hear what kinda lyrics you could give to Hang Up Your Hang Ups by Herbie Hancock.

Cbat by Hudson Mohawke. Is it actually about sex? Let's find out.

[-] Alice@beehaw.org 2 points 15 hours ago

Reddit won't truly be obsolete until we one up the cbat sex thread

Jupiter - Holst

I can feel it at a funeral, a wedding, a birth, a Requiem for a nation defeated etc etc

Playing God - Polyphia

Bolero would be pretty awful with lyrics.

[-] Captain_Baka@feddit.org 1 points 18 hours ago

Spazzmatica Polka would surely be crazy.
