What hero really drives you nuts to play against and make you lose your sh*t?

For me it is by far Sniper. Such an annoying brat and that little waggling guy with his infuriating laughs sitting back dealing unreal damage is just.....

Sumail has easily been a top2 midlaner this tournament, It seems playing around him is the best decision.

The team could have easily avoided some of those loses.

I am really proud of him, the king is back.

Truesight.... Birminghamn Unmuted... I seriously enjoy watching these more than any traditional sports, any netflix series, or any movie.

  • The pre-game hype by talent.
  • The post draft analysis.
  • The game highlights.
  • And best of all, each team's post-game debrief and bickering.

I wish each game was recapped 3x, 5x as long/more detail, and I would still gladly watch it.

This shit always happens. She knows that I can't pause Dota games, like she hasn't learned that after the past 6,000 hours of my playtime. She always has something for me to do even when I'm CLEARLY having me time right now.

This time was especially irritating though because I was running the risk of losing my rank. The map was in a yin-yang like position with our bottom barracks down and their top barracks down. It was one of those games where one fight will decide the match. I pop smoke and ping for everyone to move in on dire triangle from the south, and like clockwork my wife busts open the door and demands my attention.

She's pregnant and swears she's going into labor, but I did the research. She's way to early for that to be possible, being like 8 months and 11 weeks. I don't even bother to look at her since I know she's lying as I capture the outpost.

She then had the audacity to stamp her fist on my desk like a judge or something, crying about how "I'm not supportive of her" and that "our child is about to enter the world" and that i need to drive her. I throw my keys at her chest and tell her to drive herself since I know she's full of shit.

Before I knew it, just before I was able to cast Chain Frost, my screen goes black. She hit the power button. I tell her to get the hell out of my room and she leaves the basement limping up the stairs to have my mom drive her to the hospital.

Needless to say, I lost the match and the result was me landing in Guardian III and a leaver penalty. I'm gonna give her a peace of my mind when she gets back.

TL;DR, Sea tends to counter-draft, meaning they pick heroes to counter other heroes. EU tends to strategy-draft, meaning they pick heroes according to their team-specific strategies and doesn't tend to counterpick.

Dreamocel (Indonesian pro player) theorized that SEA and EU have a very different style of drafting and that is counter-drafting vs strategy-drafting.

SEA tends to stick with the traditional way of drafting like what puppey or kuroky did, and that is counterpicking. They usually pick 1 or 2 power or comfort heroes, and pick heroes to counter the other team's hero. Whitemon mentioned that SEA tends to be weaker in the laning phase and perform better in teamfights, hence one of the reason on why they tend to counterpick. They may not be able to do well in the laning phase, because their lane combos, early rotation, and strategies have not been sufficiently trained, but they are able to utilize their counterpicks to win teamfights.

EU tends to strategy draft. Before the match, they have prepared several specific strategy-draft that they want to pick. So they stick to their strategy draft, with 1 or 2 adjustment, and doesn't really care about counters in the draft. They will usually still perform well, even if they are faced with counters. This is because pro-players often practice losing matchup, know what to do, and can deal with counters. So for example, they know what to do in AA vs Morphling, MK vs Earth Spirit, and other traditional losing matchup. They are not worried if they lose their lanes, because they have several gameplan on how to win.

So Dreamocel theorized that traditional drafters that can't adapt to the modern EU style drafting will perform worse such as Puppey or Kuroky.

This is just my personal interpretation mixed with his observation though. What do you guys think?
